More than a milion cars in need of yearly check up starting January 1st 2010. It's means for those who have a newly born baby and 15+ years cars be prepared to include another item in your budgetary, "road tax + Insurance + "PUSPAKOM CHECK UP"" because not only your kids need a dentist checkup yearly but your car also need a safety check up yearly. In terms of safety I have to agree to their action but doing it yearly I don't see any benefit behind it (except PUSPAKOM will become richer)
Facts is a facts and by calculation if the check up will cost you RM 1.00 then they will get 1million as their yearly guaranteed income from the "old school car" and the long Q will haunting all the lane there. Every year, one million workers will have to apply for annual leave to attend the car inspection (assuming all the owner are working for paychecks) and how much this will cost to our economy? How about the subsidies that government gave to top up the real cost of each inspection? Mathematically if the the real cost is RM 5 then government have waste RM 4 million per annum just for the vehicle check up. (4 Million is enough to build a low cost home for the poor) By the way, that's what we pay our tax for, paying for our vehicle check up.
Our atok2 and nenek2 have to come down to town just for their vehicle check up, isn't that ridiculous? Well I just don't get it, why they don't see all this thing but trying to increase government spending during the economics drop down. Show the leadership a bit please.
P/S - The article titled "
Tiada niat bebankan pengguna" but believe me, you already did.
